In recognition of Loughery’s global contributions, Dr. Karl Shutz, the Architect of the famous Chemainus Mural Town, bequeathed his beloved Volkwagon Beetle to her.

The colourful iconic car serves as a meaningful legacy intended for Loughery to continue Karl’s Global Mural Art legacy in community mural tourism.

Just days before his passing, Karl personally passed on the car and some lucky crystals to Loughery as a token of their cherished friendship and mentorship.

The ART BEETLE continues to bring happiness to people, and with the addition of the Sunflower and AR:T ROUTE RADIO logos, it now boasts a complete and eye-catching appearance.

Her legacy lives on through the many young people she taught and inspired, who have gone on to become successful muralists themselves.

Michelle’s art has become a symbol of unity and hope, a reminder that beauty can be found in the most unlikely of places, and a celebration of the human spirit. Her stories and paintings can be found on walls in towns and cities all over the world, and her impact on the world of art and community building will never be forgotten.

She has truly become a Master Muralist and Storyteller, and her paintings have become a symbol of hope and inspiration to people everywhere.
