AR:T ROUTE GOLDis the stories that are a branch of the Canadian Past.

A movement and collection of art interest stops along the alternate highways and byways connecting communities to artists and storytellers and rural communities to the world.

A global local social art project that will leave a legacy impact. The opportunity for Gold Country Communities is to launch this international project from the Gold Country Region. Building from the fires in a community reimaging strategy.

Labyrinths of Blue

Eyes & Voices of Our Blue Corridors

A DEFINITIVE MODE OF TRAVELING “BACK TO OUR ROOTS”

The origin of AR:T ROUTE BLUE initiated by {Master Artist & Visionary Michelle} is solidly grounded as a pillar of leadership built on trust & integrity, spanning a nation!   Sparked by ‘Art-in-Motion” and tied together by (3) spirited & determined women bound by a desire to connect the images of public art along a ribbon of alternate routes sourced by “A Mother Road”.

True stories vividly ‘come-to-life’ upon the walls of storytellers who collectively convey their truths, trials & tribulations to reflect sheer survival of each community along its ‘blue line’.  The launch of AR:T Route Blue is introduced by a softer tone of the Women of the Road who are “The keepers” of AR:T Route Blue.  The Founding Blue Team is comprised of motivated ternaries (a trio of blended & like-minded women) bonded in a triangle of strength and lead by Michelle (The Master Visionary).  A Right of Passage is born by the connective pillars (Michelle, Stacey & Lorrie) who add a voice & direction for the images to navigate the story line.

In reference to survival, the township of Cache Creek speaks volumes as “a little town that remained on the map, despite being bypassed by the “expressway” of the Coquihalla Highway.  Cache Creek being uniquely situated along the original Trans Canada Corridor is a pivotal place of entry for a rebirth of ‘time travel’ and a centerpiece for the Arts.  The small community is reminiscent of so many towns along Route 66 that reduced themselves to ‘ghosts’, becoming victims bypassed by freeways.  Cuba, Missouri in the heart of Route 66 reinvented itself as a “Mural City” that was brilliantly kick-started by our homegrown Canadian Superstar, Michelle Loughery!

…Here at home in B.C., Cache Creek, nestled along the banks of the Bonaparte River and a tributary for the Historic Hat Creek, is positioned as a hot spot to showcase, spotlight and reflect on ‘the people of the walls’.  Trust in the “people on the wall”; and shine the light upon this kinfolk and their leaders as a teaching mechanism spoken in a language understood equally for those reflected upon the wall.  On that platform, we invite the citizens of Cache Creek to partner with our “Blue Team” to get on board the first launch of a pilot program to procure a new ‘Alternate’ direction for the people to follow at this ‘Junction for the Arts’.

The brush strokes of the highways transform the storytellers’ images into a kaleidoscope of life that ‘appears-as-it-moves’ and evolves as an alternate route of time travel in a melody of murals {as with words of a song} to create the harmony within a pyramid known as <Art Route Blue>…

“Working together in a unified pathway stamped & sealed in blue”.
